Site Location and Immediate Context

This exhibition introduces the proposal for Manor Drive Academy
Wates have been commissioned to develop a scheme for a primary and secondary school within the Peterborough City Council.

Before we submit our planning applications we are asking the community to comment on the proposal

The school is being set up and operated by the Four C’s Academy Trust
The Four C’s Academy Trust operate a number of successful schools in the area. At full capacity’ the schools will cater for up to 1346 students; 900 secondary and 446 primary (including nursery). The schools will grow incrementally in numbers year on year. The proposed school building will be 8,899 m2 in floor area and is programmed to open in September 2022, subject to planning permission.

The proposal has also been guided by consultation with the Four Cs and the Department for Education technical and design advisors.

The works associated with this proposal include:

  • Construction of the new school building containing both teaching and support areas, as well as a four court sports hall
  • New hard and soft landscaping including trees, hedgerows, grassed areas, seating and social spaces and security fencing
  • A welcoming entrance and community hub
  • Cycle parking for students, visitors and staff, accessible car parking bay and servicing zone
